How do I retrieve Log files in KitchenGo Premium
Steps to retrieve log files from KitchenGo Premium for troubleshooting.
RETRIEVING LOG FILES FROM KDS
From the Main interface screen, select the three dots in the upper right corner, and select “SETTINGS”

Scroll to the bottom of the Settings options until you see “LOG”. Select the LOG option.

Set the log options to “Detail”. The KDS will now capture detailed logs of activity and errors for troubleshooting. You can also select the number of days these files are kept in the folder.
It is recommended to leave logging at the "Basic" setting unless advanced troubleshooting is required. Leaving this setting on "Detail" or "Advanced" for an extended period of time could exhaust device resources. After troubleshooting, please set this back to "Basic".

COPYING LOG FILES FROM KDS:
Depending on the version of the KitchenGo software you are using, the log files will be in one of two possible locations. Please refer to the appropriate entry below for the version in use.
KitchenGo versions 2.9.5.1 and higher (Android 13)
With the introduction of Android 13 and the security changes that came with it, the old location where log files were previously kept is no longer accessible. See below for the new location.
To locate the Log files, navigate to the root folder in android using the explorer. There you will see the folder KDSLogs. Opening that folder you will find the log files and order events logs for troubleshooting.
Here you can copy the log files you need to a USB, or remotely if you are using a remote tool like Anydesk.
